Flowering until the first frosts, nasturtiums always make a good show. This one is Tropaeolum ‘Peach Melba’. The leaves of nasturtiums are distinctive flat, fleshy, frost-tender discs on long stalks like juggling plates, able to balance and twist in the wind. In damp weather, dewdrops and raindrops settle on the leaves like mercury. Really pretty!

Such gorgeous pictures Amanda, the rain drops on the leaves of the nasturtium remind me of Alchemilla Mollis with rain drops on!
Thanks Miriam. You’re right about the Alchemilla – also gorgeous after rain! We’ve just been out to walk the dog. It’s a beautiful day today, clear, cold and bright with a dry wind. I hope the nasturtiums last for another couple of weeks.
